This DIY has become one of my favorites! These signs were so easy to make and only cost me $35!
I found some signs similar to this in an online shop but they wanted $200 for them! That's just not in my budget so I thought I would make them myself.
For this DIY you need a Cricut or a good friend that owns one and would be willing to make the stencil for you. Luckily, a good friend of mine made these stencils for me with her Cricut.
I found this 2 pack of 16 x 20 white canvases at Hobby Lobby for $7.99 and received 50%.
I also bought two of these 16 x 20 barnwood open frames at 50% off and stained them with a golden pecan wood stain I had at my house.
After the frames dried I lined them up with the canvases and put the stencils in place.
When sticking the vinyl stencil to the canvas I didn't worry about the bubbles in it. The bubbles don't really matter.
Then I painted the stencil with a dark grey paint and waited for the paint to dry before carefully removing the stencil.
After everything dried I hot glued the canvas to the back of the frame. The canvas fits really well in these particular frames. I made these to hang in my formal dinning room. I hung one on each side of our china cabinet.
I had some of the materials needed for this project at home already and a few coupons so it only cost me a total of $35 at the time to complete this DIY.
The cool thing about this DIY is you can use any quote or saying you want. The possibilities are endless.
