For Ava’s first birthday we kept it small and simple. We wanted to have more of a small intimate party so we invited just our families. It ended up being such a special day!
The theme was SPRINKLES! Who doesn’t love sprinkles? For the decor I went with rainbow sprinkle colors and sprinkles. Lots of sprinkles!
I created some DIY sprinkle frames. I used some frames I had purchased from IKEA, sprinkles, and Mod Podge. To make these I covered the frame with Mod Podge and then poured the sprinkles on top.
I found sprinkle place mats and sippy cups at Target and incorporated them with the decor. The sippy cups I used as vases or straw holders.
We did her smash cake on the day of her actual birthday with Joey and I so we decided not to do it again. Instead, I made her a rice crispy treat cake. I drizzled the top with melted white chocolate. It was delicious!
We found this cute little bib for her on Amazon.
I kept the food simple with some of our favorite finger foods.
We had this donut specialty made from the Donut King for Ava’s first birthday. We told them we wanted lots of sprinkles!
After we ate we opened up presents. I think one of Ava’s favorite presents was the birthday card my sister gave her. It was one of the musical ones and Ava loved it! She kept opening and closing, and opening and closing it. It was so funny!
Before the party was over we had some fun with our photo booth! This was so much fun! The best part is we have these awesome photos to cherish and look back on.
Ava's first birthday party turned out to be such a special day! We are looking forward to a year of many more adventures with her!
