This weekend, we had a toddler free weekend. The first full weekend we've had toddler free since our trip to New York City last summer.
Friday night we dropped Ava off for her weekend getaway at Nana's and then headed to Babies R'Us. After that we went to IKEA and then to dinner at Season's 52. Our dinner reservations were for 9:00 pm! That's pretty wild for us considering we usually start getting ready for bed around 8:30.
They had the best little desserts.
Saturday morning, we slept in and then headed to Born and Bread Bakehouse in downtown Lakeland for some cruffins. We told ourselves we were going to walk out with one cruffin each. Yea, we left with 7 pastries.
A Banana Foster Cruffin.
We returned home and took a little early day nap. It was so, so, so nice! Then we got ready for our game night with friends. I made these delicious brownies and cooked a super easy pork loin recipe in the crockpot all day for pork tacos.
That night we hosted an adults only game night at our house. It was so much fun! We played this new game I picked up called the Game of Things, and on of our ultimate favorite games called Pass The Pigs.
Sunday morning, I actually didn't wake up until AFTER the sun was up. This doesn't happen often. Really like never since we had Ava.
I spent the morning relaxing while drinking HOT coffee and catching up on Nashville until Joey woke up. Then we went to pick Ava up.
What Ava's Weekend Looked Like...
Ava had a blast at Nana's. They played outside, painted a bird house, and played some more. She had a great weekend too.
Now let's talk Super Bowl. Here are my thoughts...
