A little recap of Christmas 2019
December 21, 2019
The girls and I headed to my parents house in Orlando to celebrate Christmas early. Joey was on call this year for Christmas so he couldn’t make the trip with us.
My parents’ house was decorated so beautifully for Christmas! It felt like I stepped right into a Hallmark Christmas movie!
We enjoyed a delicious prime rib with all the fixings and homemade candy and sweet treats for dessert.

My husband’s family came over for lunch on Christmas Eve. We kept things simple and had Olive Garden deliver.
Ava helped me set the table and it was probably one of my favorite moments from Christmas. When she saw her place setting and that she got to have a real plate and a real glass, plus a name tent, she was ecstatic!
The experience reminded me of setting the table with my mother when I was young.
Later that evening, we made homemade sparkle sugar cookies to place on the front porch for Santa (Ava isn’t a fan of Santa eating his cookies inside) and threw some magic reindeer food in the yard.
My husband prepped the pork belly for Christmas Day.

This year we stayed home for Christmas Day. The girls woke up around 5:00am and we opened our stockings in our bedroom. This gave Zoey some time to fully wake up. She’s not a morning person!
Then we headed to the living room to see what Santa brought!
Ava and I set the table again, but used glittered wrapping paper this time and some peonies I had in the kitchen.
My twin brother came over early that morning with a breakfast casserole. My husband cooked some pork belly and steaks on his smoker for lunch. Everything was delicious!
We spent the day relaxing at home, playing with the toys, enjoying each other’s company and celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior!
Christmas from the past.
