HE is RISEN! Happy Easter everyone! Our Easter Weekend was wonderful.
We started our weekend going to Good Friday service, which I loved!
On Saturday, we headed to Tampa to visit my sister in-law and brother in-law and my precious new niece. Then we stopped by Trader Joe’s (my favorite) and had lunch at PDQ’s. By the way, PDQ’s has their banana pudding milk shake right now and it’s AMAZING!
Afterwards, we came home and I tried to convince Ava that if she took a nap the Easter Bunny would come see her. It didn’t work. So Joey and I took turns entertaining her so we could get her basket ready for Sunday, and hide Easter eggs in the backyard for Saturday.
It was SO much fun watching her hunt eggs. She’s definitely in the, I want to open each egg before picking up another one, stage. We tried to explain to her to pickup all the eggs first then open them, but she wasn’t having it. This year, I found some super cute things for her Easter basket from T.J. Maxx.
Now, when it comes to an Easter basket do you wrap yours or leave them open? I like both ways, but I’ve always really loved a wrapped Easter basket. Her favorite item so far has been the dot markers. Those things are so much fun and very little mess, plus they’re washable! Sunday morning we watched Easter service from home. We had plans on going to church but I just wasn’t feeling very good. After that, we headed to my mother in-laws house and some family friends to celebrate Easter.
They had a BIG Easter egg hunt with over 600 eggs! Ava had so much fun! I had to share this picture below. So 98% of our family pictures are taken with my Cannon Camera, Tripod, and self timer. For our second round of pictures Ava snuck her sunglasses out of her purse and put them on. It was the cutest thing ever! Oh, how I love this age.
