Five on Friday

IMG_6791Happy Friday! One Friday down and four more (or less) to go before my due date. Sharing some of my super favorite things this week including this MUST HAVE book for any big sister, my new favorite hair product and more…

ONE. Ava received this big sister book from my sister in-law for Christmas and it has become my absolute favorite! I highly recommend it for sibling becoming a big sister.

TWO. I wanted to share with you my go-to hair products and a new product I found that I’m loving!

Starting from the left…

I use Not Your Mother’s Dry Shampoo for night time application. The color of this dry shampoo is white so by spraying it in your hair at night time it gives the product time to soak up the excess oils and also helps get rid of the white powdery look. I also love the volume this one gives. You can usually find it at Walmart for about $5.00 or so.

Batiste’s color tinted dry shampoo is probably my favorite! I save this one for the days I forget to use the Not Your Mother’s the night before, or if I’m in a hurry, or going somewhere special. I LOVE the tint it adds to my hair. This time I tried the beautiful brunette but I think I like their darker one better for my hair. You can usually find this one for about $7.00 – $9.00.

A few weeks ago I discovered Kenra’s Dry Volume Burst Instant Soft hold Volumizing Spray. I’m SO IN LOVE with this product. I spray it from my roots to ends after styling my hair and then kind of tease under my hair by the roots with my hands (not a teasing comb) to add extra volume. This does have a soft hold, almost a little bit waxy feeling but not bad at all. It was expensive. I think I paid $17 for it at Ulta but it’s TOTALLY worth it to me and it goes a long way.

And last but not least Kenra’s Volume Spray. This is my favorite hair spray that I use for the finishing touch. Lately, I just use a little bit because it’s a super hold and I’m also using the Dry Volume Burst Spray.

I know this seems like a lot of product, but I tend to have somewhat thin hair that gets super greasy and oily very quickly in this Florida weather. Product is a must for me in order not to have to wash my hair every day.

THREE. This week Joey came home from the grocery store with this ice cream. Oh. My. Goodness! It is a must try! It is so good!

IMG_6800FOUR. A few weeks ago we headed to Home Depot to find a tree for Zoey’s nursery and we decided to go with a money tree. Mostly, because of it’s cool looking trunk, zero pollen or bugs, it supposedly bring good luck AND it had a tag that said, “Easy to grow,” which is exactly what I need. I am happy to report that it’s STILL living and thriving in Zoey’s room! If you’re looking for an indoor tree and have no green thumb then I recommend trying a money tree.

FIVE. Lately, Ava has been into carrying purses and putting on chapstick and I love it! Such a fun phase. Her purse and top both came from Target.

Happy Friday everyone! Have a great weekend! This weekend I’m hoping to spend some time nesting at home and getting ready for Zoey’s arrival.

I’ve used the Batiste dry shampoo and I like it. I’ve also used Tressemme and thought it worked pretty well. Dry shampoo is a life saver!
