Friday Favorites Starts With a Few of my Kitchen Favorites

One of these days I will actually get this blog post posted on Friday. Hopefully, Friday morning instead of the wee hours of Saturday morning. Haha…I’m still getting settled into my new job and with two little girls on the move in our home I’ve been so tired. My usual bedtime has been between 7:30pm and 8:00! Anyhow…on to my favorites this week…

ONE. For Christmas my husband gave me these large wide mouth jars and these gold measuring cups which I LOVE! The jars are nice and big so my whole hand fits in them and the measuring cups are nice and sturdy. I used this awesome inexpensive label maker to label each jar.

TWO. I recently found this dry shampoo at Walmart and have been using it for over a week. So far, I’m a fan. I love the nice natural smell of it and I LOVE that it’s not super powdery or super white like most dry shampoos.

THREE. Friday morning, Ava asked me to braid her hair for the very first time! It. Made. My. Day! Usually she’s screaming and crying and will only let me put her hair in a little small pony tail. When I got done with her hair, she looked in the mirror and said, “I look like a doggy!” and was happy as could be! Haha…I wasn’t sure how to take that but she was happy and that’s all that matters!

FOUR. I also discovered this natural shampoo and added it to my Walmart Grocery Pick-up this week. Right now, I’ve been using Pantene and it just makes my hair way too oily! I heard that natural shampoos don’t have the tendency to draw out oils in your hair so I’m going to give it a try and I will let you know what I think. I usually like to wash my hair twice a week, but here lately I’ve had to wash it more frequently due to my hair being so oily.

FIVE. I recently discovered Zarabee’s products for the girls and I like them. I use them more for Zoey when she has the usual “daycare drip” and they seem to help out a lot. I really love the chest rub!

SIX. Yesterday, I scored this sit and stand for $14.99 at Aldi! They’re usually $80.00! I saw them during Christmas but never purchased one. I did’t really think Zoey needed one, but for $14.99 it’s worth a try!

SEVEN. Valentine’s day is coming soon (two weeks) so I wanted to share this cookie recipe you could make with your kids and this fun Valentine’s day printable.

Happy Friday (Saturday) Friends!
