Kid Approved Lunch Ideas

Now that school is in full swing, I’ve had lots of practice making the girls’ lunches for school. Today, I’m sharing a few of our favorite kid approved lunch ideas with Cascadian Farm to try with your little ones.

At our home, we like to keep lunches simple. We always make sure to include a protein, fruit, dairy, grain. We’ve been trying to squeeze in some vegetables for our picky eaters too. I usually include a vegetable if we have some leftover from dinner.

I usually pick one from each list below. These are food items that our daughters love and approve!

Thankfully, Cascadian Farm products have become the perfect solution to our easy kid approved lunches.

PROTEIN (We often include two proteins)

  • Yogurt (A must for our girls)
  • Deli meat roll up
  • Hard Boiled Eggs
  • Turkey hot dog
  • Chicken Nuggets
  • Diced Ham
  • Deli Sandwich (turkey, ham or chicken)
  • Cheese Stick

  • Diced Strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • Sliced Grapes
  • Raspberries
  • Diced Pineapple
  • Diced Peaches
  • Apple Sauce

  • Steamed Broccoli (they love broccoli)
  • Carrots
  • Green Peas
  • Green Beans
