Master Bedroom Design Board

We’ve been in our home for almost 5 years and have always put our master bedroom on the back burner when it comes to decorating and just making it nice.

We said that for our 5th year wedding anniversary we would redo our room and get new bedroom furniture. Well, next month will be 5 years! Crazy how fast time goes by.

Needless to say, I’m ready to do something to our room. Below is my design board and vision for our room.

I’m really into greens and blues right now so I’m going to continue that theme into our room and hopefully sneak some real plants in there too!

I made a list of what we already had and what we needed (wanted) to buy.

  • Two end tables
  • Two matching dressers
  • Large Area Rug
  • Curtains
  • Large standing mirror
  • Two bedside table lamps
  • Bedding

All of this adding to a grand total of about $1,100.

We planned on saving our money and purchasing a little bit at a time in order to complete our room. However, the more I thought about it the more $1,100 seemed like a lot of money. I could do a lot with $1,100! So instead of getting all new furniture we decided to stick with what we have and to shop our home!

After reading the book, Cozy Minimalist Home, I learned that a large area rug and long curtains are a must in a room so we definitely purchased those and I’m so in love already!

We’re still in the process of shopping our home, moving things around and working on our room, but once it’s complete I will definitely give you all a tour.
