How is it that this little one is already 6 months old? Sharing some of her 6 month highlights, favorite things, and talking about how Zoey’s Dock A Tot makes our nights easier.
Weight: 14 lbs 6 ounces
Sleep: Goes to bed around 7:00 pm and sleeps until 5:30 am or so. Lately, she’s been fussy throughout the night. Some nights she will wake at 9:00 pm or 3:00 am to feed.
Where Does She Sleep: Last night was Zoey’s first night sleeping in her crib. She did really good. She fussed for her pacifier around midnight and then went back to sleep. At 3:45am she started crying and I got up and held her. She probably could have gone back into her crib but I wanted to hold her and be close to her.
I’m totally struggling with this transition but I know it’s time. We put Ava in her crib around 8 weeks old, but with Zoey it’s just different. I want to be close to her. Maybe, because I know it’s our last. Who knows.
Food: 6 ounce bottle every 3 to 4 hours.
Diapers: Size 2
Clothing: 6 to 9 months
Behavior: Zoey is still such a happy and content baby (unless she’s teething or sick). Last week, she was SO FUSSY! Mostly, because she wants to be sitting up and she was sick. The floor seat we had didn’t really fit her well so we bought her a Bumbo seat and she loves it!
Zoey can sit up on her own for short periods of time.
Health: Zoey had her first stomach bug during her second week at daycare and I feel like she constantly has a runny nose. My husband calls it the daycare drip. We started using our humidifier
Loves: LOVES give hugs and kisses. I call them baby kisses. It’s when she opens her mouth really wide and tries to bite your face. Drool gets all over my face but I still think it’s the sweetest thing. She loves to grab anything, including hair! She also loves, bathes, going for walks in her stroller, being in the baby carrier, and playing with her big sister Ava.
Dislikes: She still doesn’t like cold bottles, or to be held in the cradle position.
Making it Through the Night With Dock A Tot
If you’ve been following along for a while now then it’s no surprise that our daughters love their DockATots.
Zoey started daycare in October and had her first stomach bug her second week of daycare and often has a runny nose, or what my husband calls the “daycare drip”. When she’s sick and not feeling good, night time can be a struggle. Thankfully, something that soothes her is her DockATot. When she’s restless and super fussy I hold her and rock her for a little while, and then I lay her in her DockATot Deluxe. There she feels snug and is able to sleep the rest of the night. We keep her DockATot on the ottoman in our living room so I can sleep next to her on the couch. The DockATot could be used in our bed, but we prefer to use it in the living room. So thankful that DockATot makes long nights with sick babies easier!
